Er wird mit seiner 39,6 ha grossen Fl\u00e4che oft als der gr\u00f6sste befestigte Platz der Welt bezeichnet. Allerdings ist der Platz grossr\u00e4umig abgesperrt und man gelangt nur durch Sicherheitskontrollen dort hin. Auch bei den U-Bahn Eing\u00e4ngen wird Sicherheit gross geschrieben und man muss immer seine Taschen durchleuchten lassen. Was allerdings eher nur als pro forma \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung dient, denn man selbst wird nicht kontrolliert. Vielleicht wollen die Chinesen auch nur wissen, was Frau so in Ihrer Handtasche rumschleppt.\u00a0Die Verbotene Stadt &#8222;der\u00a0Kaiserpalast&#8220;\u00a0befindet sich gleich im Anschluss zum Platz des himmlischen Friedens. Dort lebten und regierten bis zur Revolution 1911 die chinesischen Kaiser der Dynastien Ming und Qing.\u00a0Der einfachen Bev\u00f6lkerung war der Zutritt verwehrt \u2013 was den Namen <i>Verbotene Stadt<\/i> erkl\u00e4rt. Hier tummeln sich tausende von Touristen und es ist fast unm\u00f6glich in Ruhe ein Foto vom Thron des Kaisers zu machen. Leider sind die meisten der gigantischen Hallen ringsum nicht zug\u00e4nglich. Es beeindruckt aber die Gr\u00f6sse der Verbotenen Stadt mitten in Peking. 1987 wurde sie von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erkl\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-666 einige\u00a0der Hutongs. Als Hutongs werden die engen Gassen der urspr\u00fcnglichen Innenstadt bezeichnet. In den Gassen findet man die Eing\u00e4nge zu den traditionellen, einst\u00f6ckigen Wohnh\u00e4usern mit ihren dachlosen Innenh\u00f6fen. Leider wurden bereits viele dieser Hutongs abgerissen und durch Hochh\u00e4user mit vermeintlich alter Fassade ersetzt.\u00a0Verl\u00e4sst man die dortigen Flaniermeilen mit ihren Unmengen an Restaurants, kleinen L\u00e4den, Imbissst\u00e4nden und tausenden von Touristen,\u00a0so taucht man ein in das eigentliche Leben dieser Altstadt und kann in Ruhe die dortige Atmosph\u00e4re war einst Sommersitz des chinesischen Kaiser der Qing-Dynastie, der letzten chinesischen Kaiserdynastie. Der Sommerpalast erstreckt sich rund um den Kunming-See und besteht aus zahlreichen Geb\u00e4uden, religi\u00f6sen Tempeln, Pavillons, Br\u00fccken, dekorativen Bauwerken und drum herum ein riesiger Park. Nat\u00fcrlich treffen wir hier auch auf zahlreiche Touristen, aber das Gel\u00e4nde ist sch\u00f6n weitl\u00e4ufig im Gegensatz zur Verboten Stadt. Touriprogramm und liegt im S\u00fcden der Stadt inmitten eines gro\u00dfen Parks. Hier beteten die Kaiser der Ming- und Qing-Dynastien jedes Jahr f\u00fcr eine gute Ernte. Heute z\u00e4hlt dieser Tempel, mit seinem runden blauen Dach, zu den Wahrzeichen der Stadt und ist ein beliebter Freizeitort der St\u00e4dter.
