Kurz nach Baracoa wird die Stra\u00dfe zur Schotterpiste. Nach ein paar kleineren Steigungen erreichen wir den Strand Playa Maguana. Wir beschliessen die Nacht hier zu bleiben. Zum einen, weil es ein ganz sch\u00f6ner Strand ist und zum andern, weil der Hinterreifen von Helmut Luft verliert. Die erste H\u00fctte, die wir ansteuern, liegt direkt an der kleinen Bucht und man kann bei einem Speerfischer \u00fcbernachten. Leider sind die beiden Zimmer schon belegt. Aber es dauert nicht lange und wir werden an einen Casa Besitzer weitervermittelt. Sein Haus liegt an der Strasse und w\u00e4re sowieso unsere zweite Wahl gewesen. Wir mieten uns in eine kleine, frei stehende H\u00fctte hinten im Garten ein. Rundherum sind Bananen und Mango B\u00e4ume und es gibt eine bequeme H\u00e4ngematte. Sp\u00e4ter gehen wir zur grossen Bucht. Dem eigentlichen Strand. Dort sind ein paar Restaurants und diverse H\u00e4ndler warten auf die Tagestouristen aus Baracoa. Vormittags haben wir den Strand f\u00fcr uns alleine und auch die H\u00e4ndler sind noch nicht da. Sp\u00e4ter relaxen wir in der H\u00e4ngematte. Am Nachmittag checkt noch ein weiterer Radlfahrer aus Finnland bei unserer Unterkunft ein. Endlich haben wir R\u00fcckenwind. Die Erde wird immer roter und ist ganz sch\u00f6n staubig. Kurz vor Moa wird die Strasse wieder besser, da hier in der Gegend Nickel abgebaut wird. Es ist das zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Nickelvorkommen der Erde. In Moa werden wir schon erwartet, da uns unsere Unterkunft aus Imias die Adresse empfohlen hat. Wir werden herzlich begr\u00fc\u00dft und gleich auf einen frischen Papayasaft eingeladen. Sie haben sich schon gewundert das wir so lange von Imias nach Moa brauchen und dachten sich schon, dass wir am Strand einen Zwischenstopp eingelegt haben. Tatjana und Jessica telefonieren wahrscheinlich \u00f6fter und sind gut \u00fcber die Entfernung vernetzt. Am Nachmittag drehen wir eine Runde durch die Stadt und finden eine Chocolateria. Wir fahren auf einer gut asphaltierten Stra\u00dfe mit R\u00fcckenwind. Wie immer geht es rauf und runter. Irgendwann treffen wir auf zwei andere Radlfahrer aus Frankreich. Sie sind bereits seit 5 Jahren unterwegs. Wir quatschen und tauschen uns \u00fcber diverse Dinge aus. Unter anderem bekommen wir einen guten Tip f\u00fcr die Stadt Gibara. Dort sollen wir doch bitte auch noch ein Pr\u00e4sent der beiden \u00fcbergeben. Kein Problem, versprochen. Kurz noch ein Foto und dann verabschieden wir uns. Heute machen wir immer wieder mal eine kleine Pause, unter anderem nach 50 km an einer Bushaltestelle mit kleinem Imbiss. Hier gibt es Bier, Schnaps und Gott sei Dank f\u00fcr uns ein Limo. Sp\u00e4ter machen wir nochmals einen Stopp bei ein paar Obsth\u00e4ndlern und probieren Mandarinen und Mangos. Sehr lecker. Nat\u00fcrlich kaufen wir auch welche. Gegen Mittag ist es hier ganz sch\u00f6n hei\u00df und wir sind froh als wir endlich in Majary ankommen. Am Abend gehen wir in ein Restaurant und treffen auf eine Kubanerin die 20 Jahre in Deutschland gelebt hat. Sie betreibt jetzt das Restaurant mit Ihrem Bruder und \u00fcbersetzt uns die Speisekarte. Wir steuern genau darauf zu. Bis jetzt geht es gut zu fahren. Es ist sehr flach. Links und rechts der Stra\u00dfe viele Bananenplantagen, Maisfelder und auch Zuckerrohr wird hier angebaut. Kaum in Banes angekommen fallen auch schon die ersten Regentropfen. Allerdings nicht der Rede wert. Hier gibt es nicht wirklich viel zu sehen.
