Leider regnet es und wir lassen uns Zeit. Gegen neun Uhr isst es auf und die Stra\u00dfen sind fast wieder trocken. Wir brechen auf. Es ist bew\u00f6lkt und wir hoffen das es nicht wieder regnet. Die ersten Kilometer f\u00fchren uns auf einer gut ausgebauten Stra\u00dfe am Flughafen von Holguin vorbei. Sp\u00e4ter wird die Stra\u00dfe schm\u00e4ler und holpriger. Es fahren ein paar LKW\u00b4s und Busse, sie halten gro\u00dfen Abstand zu uns und fahren sehr vorsichtig. Sonst sind auf der Stra\u00dfe \u00fcberwiegend Pferdegespanne unterwegs, an denen wir vorbei Radeln. In Bayamo finden wir gleich wieder eine nette Bleibe und kaum haben wir eingecheckt, beginnt ein Platzregen. Nur kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter ist wieder alles in Ordnung. Wir ziehen los und schlendern durch die Fussg\u00e4ngerzone. Hier probieren wir gleich mal eine Pizza und einen Eisbecher. Nach etwa einer Stunde, mit vielen anderen Leuten Schlange stehen geben wir auf. Angeblich haben sie ein Kassenproblem und konnten deshalb nicht \u00f6ffnen. Zumindest haben wir dies so verstanden. Gegen zehn Uhr sind wir dann los. Es ist blauer Himmel mit immer wieder ein paar Wolken. Ungef\u00e4hr 25 km vor Monzanillo, in einer kleinen Ortschaft, machen wir noch eine Pause. Es gibt eisgek\u00fchlten Mangosaft. In Monzanillo checken wir bei einem Italiener nahe der Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzone ein. Wir bekommen ein riesiges Zimmer im Kolonialstiel. Seine Frau begr\u00fcsst uns herzlich und meinte wir kommen gerade noch rechtzeitig. Auf der Dachterrasse feiern sie Oma\u00b4s 75 Geburtstag und schon sitzen wir zwischen den Verwandten und bekommen einen Teller mit allerlei K\u00f6stlichkeiten vollgeladen. Vom gegrilltem \u00fcber Reis und Salat. Alles was noch auf den Teller passt. Au\u00dferdem gibt es Sangria und milchigen Lik\u00f6r. Sp\u00e4ter singen wir gemeinsam ein Happy Birthday und essen den Geburtstagskuchen. Irgendwann verdr\u00fccken wir uns zu einem Verdauungsspaziergang, bevor wir noch mehr essen und trinken sollen. Heute ist Weihnachten und es war sehr sch\u00f6n. Media Luna <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>53 km \/ 187 hm<\/p>\n<p>Diesmal kommen wir sehr sp\u00e4t los, da wie uns mit dem Vermieterp\u00e4rchen beim Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck verquatschen. Immerhin haben wir dann R\u00fcckenwind und kommen gut voran. Das l\u00e4sst ein bisschen Zeit aufholen. Ab Mittags beginnt die Sonne erb\u00e4rmlich zu brennen und wir suchen nach Schatten. In einer kleinen Ortschaft finden wir auch eine Terrasse mit ein paar St\u00fchlen und Sonnenschirmen und machen Pause. Hier hoffen wir auf eine k\u00fchle Cola. Leider gibt es nur Hochprozentiges und so m\u00fcssen wir doch unser mittlerweile warmes Wasser trinken. In Media Luna beim Guesthouse angekommen werden wir herzlich begr\u00fc\u00dft. K\u00fcsschen links und K\u00fcsschen rechts. Wir bekommen eine Kanne Kaffee und k\u00f6nnen auf der Dachterrasse entspannen. Sp\u00e4ter schauen wir noch zum nahegelegenen Strand. Am Abend serviert uns die Hausherrin in ihrer K\u00fcche ein leckeres Essen mit Vor- Haupt- und Nachspeise. F\u00fcr die Vermieter immer eine willkommene extra Einnahme. Sp\u00e4ter setzen wir uns zur Familie mit ins Wohnzimmer. Unsere Vermieterin hat die ganze Umgebung abgeklappert aber ohne Erfolg. Es kommt immer wieder mal vor, dass das eine oder andere Lebensmittel einfach nicht zu bekommen ist. Als Brot Ersatz erhalten wir ger\u00f6stete Banane und dazwischen den Schinken. Mal was anderes. Unsere Tour f\u00fchrt heute erst einmal Richtung Niquera bevor wir nach vielleicht 15 km an einer Stra\u00dfenkreuzung nach Pillon abbiegen. Es geht jetzt kontinuierlich bergauf. Eigentlich gar nicht so dramatisch aber durch die Hitze ist es sehr anstrengend und wir sind froh, nach etwa 40 km den h\u00f6chsten Punkt erreicht zu haben. Die Abfahrt Richtung Meer tut jetzt richtig gut. Die Strecke mit tollen Ausblicken geht immer am leuchtend blauen Meer entlang. Allerdings gibt es ein paar heftige Anstiege und der Wind bl\u00e4st zus\u00e4tzlich direkt von vorne. Manchmal ist es richtig schwer voranzukommen. Die Strasse besteht jetzt fast nur noch aus Sand und Schotter und das Meer nagt an den wenigen Resten, die vom Teer noch \u00fcbrig geblieben sind. Wir begegnen nur noch wenigen Fahrzeugen. Meist sind die Einheimischen mit ihren Pferdegespannen unterwegs oder warten am Strassenrand, dass doch noch ein zum Bus umfunktionierter LKW vorbei kommt und sie mitnimmt. La Mula selbst ist eine Art Campingplatz. Wobei man hier \u00fcblicherweise in kleinen H\u00fctten \u00fcbernachtet. Es gibt ein einfaches Restaurant und einen kleinen Shop. Wir kommen in einer der besseren H\u00fctten &#8222;f\u00fcr Ausl\u00e4nder&#8220; unter, was heisst, dass wir eine eigene Toilette und Dusche haben. Zum Mittagessen gibt es heute Spaghetti Napoli und den Nachmittag verpennen wir im Schatten der Anlage. Abends stellen wir fest, dass wir Mittags bereits das Abendessen h\u00e4tten bestellen m\u00fcssen. Schwierig, da die Angestellten alle kein Englisch sprechen. Mula<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Hier ist das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck eher sparsam. Irgendwie hat man das Gef\u00fchl, dass sich die Locals mehr vom Alkohol als von fester Nahrung ern\u00e4hren. Das Meer ist wieder sehr st\u00fcrmisch und die Wellen lassen kein Bad am steinigen Strand des Camps zu. Wir radeln etwa zwei Kilometer zu einer ruhigeren Bucht. Hier ist ein kleiner Sandstrand und die Felsen weiter draussen sorgen f\u00fcr ruhiges Wasser. Sehr entspannend und kein Mensch weit und breit.
